Thoughts determine our choices and our actions. Ultimately, our thoughts determine whether we will live or die. So, we can understand that being able to manage our mind and the thoughts it generates is a really big deal! But, how do we do that?
The first step is to identify what you want in life. We can set ourselves in motion only after we have decided on what we want. Sometimes making a little decision is a big decision, simply because it starts the movement forward. There is a saying that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Actually, the journey of a thousand miles begins with the thought to take the journey.
What is it you are wanting in your life right now? What is important? Identify that and write it on paper. Literally, write the words, “I want ___________.” As soon as you identify this thought you are likely to have all kinds of self-talk come up about why it’s not realistic, not possible, not affordable, etc. Here comes your next step.
Write out every single thought that comes to your awareness (as you hear it in your mind) that is contrary to what you want. These thoughts are your limitations bubbling to the surface from your subconscious mind. These limitations have been stored within your subconscious mind for weeks, months, probably years. Most of the limitations are not your own. They have been handed to you (and adopted by you) from your parents and grandparents as well as other people we have met in life.
We also adopt beliefs and limitations presented to us by various media. Advertisers are really great at setting limitations, and we don’t consciously realize it’s happening. Chase bank did a savings campaign in 2022 with a series of posters. On the posters the word “Someday” was shown with photos of young people in graduation caps and gowns, a family buying a new house, a person buying a new car, etc. Multiple messages are sent by these posters. However, the word “someday” conveys to the subconscious mind that you don’t have it now and you may not ever have it because “it” is always in the future.
Our subconscious mind operates in the present moment, from what is right now. So, “someday” never happens! A better savings campaign message would have been, “Save now…” This message offers something actionable we can do right now in the present moment.
The subconscious messages you presently operate from are powerful and very likely prevent you from achieving your life goals. These messages remain hidden from you until you call them into the daylight, put them on paper and take a good hard look at them. Subconscious limitations always hold us back. To achieve our dreams and bring what we want into our lives we must identify what we want as well as the limitations preventing us from achieving our desired outcomes.
After we have identified our wants and limitations, we can then utilize the processes in PSYCH-K to transform our limitations into new powerful messages. Our subconscious mind has been programmed by others. Now it’s time for you to take control and reprogram your subconscious mind with powerful beneficial messages you select to enhance your life. Put your subconscious mind to work FOR you rather than have it working against you. You don’t have to be a victim of the old programs any longer! PSYCH-K provides the simple and easy tools for you to take control or your life. We still have space for you to join us in our August and September Basic Workshops. Come, have fun learning these life giving processes.
Blessings to you my friends!
